Communications committee

The general objectives of the Communications Committee are to promote, preserve, and protect the interests of Constitutional Republicanism through education and political action; encourage active participation in governmental affairs, including communicating with elected officials; and build loyalty to the Republican Party for constructive action in the primary and general elections.  

Specific duties of the committee may include:  

• Making contact with the media and developing and maintaining media relationships.  
• Being the communications contact person for club members and media to gather and present articles.
• Submitting articles for the club newsletter and/or website.  
• Ensuring that regular media information is provided accurately. 
• Working with other committees about media opportunities.

Communication committee members are responsible to the chairman and the club president. Members should:  

• write well and have some knowhow on presenting media releases and articles;  
• have computer skills; and  
• be a good communicator and be able to develop positive relationships with media contacts.
