Programs and Speakers is a committee that finds and lines up speakers for the club. The purpose of having the speaker is to inform, entertain, or educate club members on a specific topic, especially in the political realm, whether at a monthly meeting or special event.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Search for interesting and engaging speakers on the subject of governmental affairs. Talk with the speaker to discuss the theme, objective, and/or message they plan to present.
- Arrange for speakers to address the club’s monthly meetings.
- Complete a brief evaluation of the speaker's program for the Board of Directors prior to speaker’s engagement.
- Introduce each speaker to the membership at monthly meetings or special events.
- Promote future speakers and special events. Work with the other standing committees to publicize the speaker and/or event to current and prospective club members.
- Be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people and able to communicate effectively.
- Have a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Believe in the importance of the mission of RRAZRC – its history, community impact, and primary goal of supporting Constitutional Republicanism.
